Cover for Game Informer’s January issue “may be the most surprising of the year”

As of late, Game Informer has been the top magazine for new game announcements and reveals. This year alone the publication has nabbed exclusives for Borderlands 2, Dishonored, Rainbow 6: Patriots – just to name a few.

It’s sounding like the magazine’s next edition will be equally as interesting. On Twitter, associate editor Philip Kolar teased the upcoming issue’s cover, which he believes “may be the most surprising of the year.”

He wrote on Twitter:

“As @Andrew_Reiner points out, our January cover may be the most surprising of the year. Reveal coming soon!”

Game Informer’s Andrew Reiner said the following on Twitter previously:

“I wish I could see the look on the face of every person who views our next cover.”

Could this be related to a VGA announcement? How about that rumored Sony fighting title? We’ll find out soon, as Game Informer will probably unveil the January cover later this week or early next week.
