Alan Wake’s American Nightmare gets first review

The Official Xbox Magazine has provided the first review for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.

OXM handed out an 8.5/10. To compare, the original game earned an 8.0/10.

The magazine noted that American Nightmare is a big step-up in terms of mechanics. It fixes much of the repetitiveness and area design issues found in Alan Wake. Moreover, OXM feels that Remedy has tightened things up a great deal.

Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is less than three weeks away from launch. It’s scheduled to hit the Xbox Live Arcade on February 22.
