Sony has revealed a few additional aspects of the newly announced Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two version for the PlayStation Vita.
Unsurprisingly, the new edition is a port of the PlayStation 3 title that came out last year. SCEE’s Alex Moyet wrote in the comments section of this week’s PS Blog post that it “will be optimised for the Vita hardware” while offering new features such as the two-player Wi-Fi mode. Moyet added that the new version “will definitely fix some of those technical issues previously experienced such as framerate and AI”.
Junction Point Studios closed its doors a few months back, so it was up to another studio to work on the PS Vita project. Blitz Games Studios, the team behind the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, is working with Sony on the new project.
One last note: as of now, Epic Mickey 2 won’t offer any sort of cross-compatibility support. There are no cross-buy, cross-play, or cross-save features planned.
