Rockstar moved the launch of Grand Theft Auto V from spring to the fall a few days ago. However, the delay won’t result in any additional SKUs.

According to a GameSpot tweet quoting Rockstar, the company has “nothing new” to share regarding GTA V for either Wii U or PC. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 remain the only confirmed platforms for release.

Rockstar also took to the comments section of its blog to rule out any and all conspiracy theories regarding GTA V’s delay. It was simply pushed back “because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be.”

“To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they’re all nonsense – literally the only reason we’ve delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be.”

Might as well just leave the PC for good while they’re at it. I’m tired of the “maybe, maybe not” attitude Rockstar have towards the PC. As a result I stopped caring whether GTA V might or might not make it to the PC.

Man the shit these guys have to deal with for releasing a quality game to their fans. Everyone jumps to the wildest and most lucrative conclusions. Jesus people they just want to deliver an experience that meets their standards.

This is the type of vanity that’s holding this generation of games back and selling all of those apple products. Everyone’s so obsessed with having the best of everything instead of enjoying what they have. Or spending all this extra money on graphics when the game content is just another run of the mill fps.

Rockstar are the good guys here. They’re going out of their way to make something better. The easy thing to do would have been to just release it as is and patch it later. They’re protecting the brand first and foremost.
